Bistrot Neuf on the Haarlemmerstraat number 9 is all about lovely, honest and recognisable French food. Cozy and uncomplicated dining with a menu based on our extensive selection of wines. In other countries this formula is a great success. In Italy they have Trattoria/ enoteca, in Spain Tapas and of course in France the bistrot bar-a-vin. In Belgium its called a tavern and in the Netherlands the bistrot is known as a café, a simple place to eat, in between a restaurant and bar.

In addition to serving dinner we are one of the few places in the centre of Amsterdam that serves warm lunch. The menu is inspired by French cusine and we only use fresh seasonal products.

All bites and plates at Neuf are cooked and served with passion

“Au crieurs de Vin”means screamer for wine. Neuf is the only bistrot where you can chose between 60 different kinds of wine at all times, served either by the bottle or by the glass. From Touraine Sauvignon to Saint Aubin 1er cru, Chinon the best wines from St. Emilion, we offer all of them by the glass.  We also have seven choices of sparkling wine availble by the glass.

At Bistrot Neuf you can chose to stay all night and indulge in our lovely wine and food but you are also welcome to stop for a quick bite.

We are very proud to announce that Bistrot Neuf was awarded one couvert in the 2017 Michelin guide. And we are also thrilled to have been included in 2014 Gault&Millau guide.
