THE PEOPLE BEHIND NEUF

Rex Neve studied oenology in Bordeaux. In 1987 he was the youngest Dutch viticulturist and one of the first dutch wine masters. He has been the owner of wine trade Chabrol Wines since 1991. In 2009, the same year Bistrot Neuf opened, Rex opened the second Chabrol in Amsterdam on the Overtoom. Before he started Chabrol he worked in well known catering companies. Rex's import of grappa, cognac and wines of the highest quality has earned him great respect in the wine trading industry and Chabrol is still a very succesful business, even after 21 years of trading. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experiences with his collegues at Bistro Neuf.

Robert Peppelenbos opened Restaurant Stout! on the Haarlemmerstraat 73 in 2003 and six years later, in 2009, he opened Bistrot Neuf. He is also co owner of (catering)company CulinairExpert where he develops and executes total food concepts for corporate and other events. His broad knowledge often leads to companies and individuals asking his advice on anything from sustainability, vegetarian food and customer relations.

Robert was born to be a restaurateur. His great organisational skils, deep love for good honest food and motivational personality make makes him a leader in his field.

Host pur sang Maarten Vandenbooren and chefs Pascal Tooms and Thijmen Veenman ensure that ever day Neuf lives up to its great reputaion. The Neuf team has a natural talent for making our guests feel comfortable and at home.
