Bistrot Neuf is live during the new television show – The Chef’s Line.
Brought to life by the makers of MasterChef Australia the new program has already become very popular in Australia and has recently been seen on Holland’s 24Kitchen TV channel. In this culinary competition home cooks compete against a professional kitchen crew of a renowned restaurant. Bistrot Neuf kicks off the competition in the French Cuisine-category.
Chef Pascal and his Chef’s Line: Rutger (sous chef), Tom (chef de partie) and Enrico (pupil) swap their so trusted kitchen at the Haarlemmerstraat for the famous cooking-studios of 24Kitchen. Geographically out of their comfort zone, to do what they are best in: preparing the best classic French dishes.
Every week a new group of home cooks compete against the Chef’s line of a new restaurant, with a different theme. From Chinese to Italian, from French to Scandinavian. You name it; everything is possible. The viewer is taken into a journey of great variety of styles, preparations and techniques so that they will enjoy every episode’s new type of kitchen and new brigade.
The working atmosphere and vibe has also been in line with the Australian format, meaning that despite the competition, they help each other out when needed. Sometimes the Chef gives a hand to the home cook to help them out and avoid a possible defeat.
This week is very special and the home cooks should be prepared! They must compete against the kitchen crew of Bistrot Neuf. PAM PAM!! Both the amateur cooks as the kitchen crew of Bistrot Neuf are specialized in the authentic French cuisine.
On the first day the home cooks compete against Chef’s pupil Enrico, and one of the amateurs must leave the competition after losing. Each day, a professional cook that is higher in the ranking is pushed forward to show his best skills and talents and a home cook is sent home. Tom takes the second round, after which Sous Chef Rutger battles it out with the two remaining amateurs.
On Friday the best home cook left in the competition will compete against the Chef himself.
